School athletics are naturally going to help students develop healthy physical habits, as all of our programs are physically intensive. By choosing to play a physical sport like soccer, boys and girls are able to maintain healthy eating habits, and often learn how to prepare their own healthy meals as a result.
The Vanguard School Winter Sports oversees the Basketball seasons for all students in High School and Junior High School.
Through this experience, students are able to develop courage as they take risks, strength while displaying finesse, competitive intensity while exhibiting generosity of spirit, and mental as well as physical endurance. While the focus is to facilitate the development of each student’s athletic potential, the greater hope is to instill motivation to continue lifelong physical activity.
Basketball is the designation given to contests for men and women that involve cardio, team work, strategy, and athletic prowess.
