- The Vanguard School scored the top score in the state of Colorado in six of the seven tests taken in 2008-2009 and 2009-2010.

- In 2008-2009 and 2009-2010, The Vanguard School students had the highest ACT composite score in Colorado.
- The first year of AP English testing (2008-2009), eight of the eleven students scored a 5, and three of the eleven students scored a 4.
- The first graduating class of seniors (2010) from The Vanguard School includes a Boettcher Scholarship winner, a National Merit finalist, and a National Achievement Scholarship winner.
